1. Who we are
This site is operated by The Terrible Hoodie, 10 Brookwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Terrible Hoodie. "You" means the person placing an order or using the site. You can reach us any time at support@theterriblehoodie.com or (201) 400-7940.
By placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not order.
2. What we sell
We sell custom hooded sweatshirts in black and gold. Every hoodie is made to order. Nothing is pulled off a shelf: the garment is decorated once you have paid, to the color, size and personalization you chose. This matters because it is the reason personalized items cannot be returned for change of mind. See section 6.
3. Prices, sizes and payment
- All prices are shown in US dollars and include the garment and the printing.
- Sizes S to XL are one price. 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL carry an additional charge, shown on the product before you add to cart.
- Shipping is calculated at checkout from the weight of your order and your delivery address, and is shown to you before you pay. Sales tax is added where required by law.
- Payment is taken at the time you order, by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a price is obviously wrong we will contact you before charging, and you may cancel.
4. Your personalization
You may add a name, which is printed in script above the official Terrible Hoodie logo on the front of the garment. Read this section carefully, because personalization is the part of the order we cannot undo.
- We print exactly what you type. The live preview on the customizer shows you your name on the hoodie as you type it. Check the spelling, the spacing and the capitalization before you add to cart. A name we printed as you entered it is not a defect.
- You confirm you have the right to use it. By submitting a name you confirm it is yours to use, and that it does not infringe anyone's trademark, name or other rights.
- What we will not print. We will not print anything obscene, hateful, threatening, or that infringes someone else's rights, and we will not print the name, logo or trademark of a professional sports team, league, player or other brand. If you submit something we will not print, we will contact you, and if it cannot be resolved we will cancel and refund the order in full.
- You grant us a limited license to reproduce the name you submit for the sole purpose of manufacturing and fulfilling your order.
5. Cancelling an order
Because production starts quickly, the cancellation window is short and honest:
- Email support@theterriblehoodie.com as soon as possible with your order number.
- If production has not started, we will cancel and refund you in full.
- Once production has started on a personalized item, it cannot be cancelled, because the garment has already been printed with your name and cannot be sold to anyone else.
- Non-personalized ("classic") hoodies can be cancelled up until they ship.
6. Returns, refunds and replacements
Our full policy is on the Returns page and forms part of these terms. In short:
- Personalized items cannot be returned for change of mind, for ordering the wrong size, or for a spelling you entered yourself.
- We will replace, free of charge, any item that arrives damaged or defective, has a print defect, was the wrong item, or carries a spelling error that was ours.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the problem.
- Where a refund is due, it goes back to the original payment method. Your bank decides how long it takes to appear, typically 5 to 10 business days.
7. Shipping and delivery
- Production takes 7 to 10 business days before your order ships. Rush production is available at checkout and reduces that to 2 to 3 business days. Rush speeds up production, not the carrier.
- Shipping time is on top of production time, and depends on the service you choose.
- We ship within the United States. We do not currently ship internationally.
- You are responsible for giving us a correct, deliverable address. A parcel returned to us because the address was wrong can be reshipped at your cost.
- Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier takes the parcel. If it is lost or damaged in transit, tell us and we will sort it out with the carrier.
8. Discount codes and promotions
- Discount codes apply to the price of the garment only. They do not apply to shipping, to rush production, or to sales tax.
- One code per order. Codes cannot be combined.
- Launch and limited-time offers run for the period stated on the site at the time you see them, and may be withdrawn or changed at any time. A code applied to an order already placed cannot be added retroactively.
- Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or store credit.
- We may cancel an order and refund it if we believe a code has been obtained or used fraudulently.
9. Payment disputes
If something is wrong with your order, contact us first. Most problems are fixed the same day. Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us costs us a fee and takes longer to resolve than simply emailing us. We will always try to put it right.
10. Accounts
You can order as a guest or create an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.
11. Our brand, and who we are not
The Terrible Hoodie name, logo and artwork are ours and may not be copied, reproduced or used without our written permission.
The Terrible Hoodie is an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by the National Football League, the Pittsburgh Steelers, or any professional sports team, league or player. Our products are fan apparel in black and gold. Any reference to a city or to fans is descriptive only.
12. Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, to interfere with how it runs, to attempt to gain access to systems or data that are not yours, or to scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people. We may refuse service or cancel orders where we reasonably believe this is happening.
13. Disclaimers and limits
We work hard to describe our products accurately, and the live preview is there so you can see exactly what you are ordering. Even so, screen colors vary between devices, and garment measurements carry normal manufacturing tolerance.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published on this page at the time you placed it. The effective date is shown at the top.

17. Intellectual property notices
We take other people's rights seriously and we would rather hear from you directly than find out through a third party.

Please include:
- the right you own and, where it is registered, the registration number,
- the specific page, product or artwork you are writing about,
- what you would like us to do, and
- how to reach you.
We will acknowledge a notice promptly and respond substantively. Where a complaint is well-founded we will act on it. We would ask that you come to us first rather than to our payment processor, host or advertising platforms - we are reachable, and going direct gets it resolved faster for both of us.
